FILTER Image Description and Categorisation Exercise

This exercise consists of a series of images which are cycled through one by one. Participants are asked to describe and categorise the images using any number of keywords to describe the subject content of an image and to indicate what "type" they think the image belongs to. This might be photograph, map, drawing, chart, micrograph, etc. View the image and add your keywords below...

Your information will feed into the development and structuring of resources in the FILTER database and in approaches to describing and providing access to images and image-based resources. We appreciate your contribution to FILTER research - enter your contact deatils below if you would like to know more.

Keywords about the image content (anything that comes to mind. Keywords can be used to describe not only what is explicit in the image, but also in some cases, what is implied or symbolised by the image, including emotions and concepts. There is no right or wrong answer.):
